August 11th - GLACIER - DAY 4

This is our last day in Glacier National Park. Kinda sad. It’s one of those iconic meaningful places that you always dream of visiting and then never want to leave once you arrive.

Tim and I were going to do another hike but with questionable weather looming we decided against it. Instead we went back into Apgar Village here in the National Park. We ate at Eddy’s and had a super yummy lunch topped off with a few Pigs Ass Porter beers made by Harvest Moon Brewing Company in Belt, Montana.  The perfect adult beverage for a cool summer day!

Being the coolest day yet on our adventure it was the first day I could wear a winter hat and a thicker jacket. While in town the sun came out unexpectedly and we decided to quickly return to basecamp to enjoy an afternoon campfire instead of hiking. As soon as we got back to basecamp, pulled out the firewood, it began to rain.

Chill’n . . . as it turned out is just what we needed before moving on to our next stop. It gave us time to rest and ready for a travel day tomorrow. And to watch good entertainment from new neighbors next door. Onward.
