TRANSPO MEETINGS AND SUCH . . .

Over the years Tim and I have come to the conclusion that we must have nightly Transpo Meeings while making these longer journeys. Seems like it is very easy not to be on the same page. Imagine . . . one of us thinks we are going here. The other thinks we are heading over there. Then it all comes to a head in bad traffic and now no one knows where to go.

In attendance at these meetings are the Transpo Captain and the Navigator and sometimes we include Lee Garminita. However from time to time Lee has a bad attitude and can lead us to destinations unknown out in the middle of NO WHERE to churches and cemeteries on small country roads with no turn arounds. We think she is trying to tell us something.

Today's travels were pretty uneventful. Our path through Dallas could have been better. The construction and narrow lanes were insane. However it was still better than any journey towing through Atlanta. We had a nice place to eat at a truck stop near Ponder, TX. They had a little pavilion with tables out back where we ate our sandwiches. Then onward we pushed passing through Wichita Falls. Our final destination for the day is in Quanah, TX at Copper Breaks State Park. As we went to check for availability and register they warned us that ALL water in park was out. Not a problem we said. You still want to stay? Yes. So we got our camping spot for half price at $12 for the night. Yes!!!

We thought we would ask how full the campground was ... Only two other rigs and one being the camp host. Nice! We pretty much have the park to ourselves and got to chose our own site. Then once we arrived in the campground and chose from all the sites - look at what we found. These great teepee huts over each picnic table. Fun!

For dinner we enjoyed fantastic grilled foil packs ... Smoked kielbasa, French cut green beans, fresh potatoes & carrots. Then we enjoyed a really beautiful sunset here in Texas.
