D90 - 07/27/24 HALFWAY

Yes. We believe we are at about the halfway point of this Epic Adventure. I am so happy and grateful that you all have followed along with us. The memories that we have created, memories that we have inspired in others and memories that we have helped some relive, that have been here to Alaska before, is what makes this all so special to us.

Today was a beautiful sunny day and a prep day of sorts. We scouted a few campgrounds and a boon docking location for our next move. Not sure if we will decide to go there. So as of right now we have a number of plans ready to deploy if necessary.

Tim and I also returned to the Homer Farmer’s Market today. Where we were able to get some multicolored fresh radishes and hearty lettuce. Tim was determined to get ice cream as well. It was delicious!!

The other stops we needed to make to get us through a few more days included grocery shopping, getting the truck fueled and a propane refill.

Our day also included going to the other Salmon Sisters flagship store, The Alaska Salt Co.  and The Alaska Starfish Co. Watched kids make massive bubbles that blew down the beach. Our time here has been amazing! We still cannot believe the stunning landscapes that we see with every turn and blink of the eye.

Our evening was spent with the Sisters on the Fly who were left. We had another great campfire gathering. Began saying goodbyes to those leaving early in the morning. These ladies are all very lovely. I can’t wait to see them all again!

So as you have probably guessed it, tomorrow is a travel day for us. We don’t have any solid plans or reservations. Maybe our path of travel will become clearer in the morning.
