Our first order of business was to get some breakfast here at the campground cafe. Sourdough pancakes. Sausage. Breakfast croissant sandwich. Hash browns! Coffee. Delish!! And just a short walk through camp to get there.
It was a good day for getting a few other tasks done. Tim was able to get the oil changed in the truck and get it washed while I stayed back to tend to laundry.
Our afternoon was spent scouting our next basecamp location and finishing our research on fishing licenses. We made a stop at the visitors center here in town and purchased a very valuable map to help us out with BLM camping locations in Alaska. The ladies were very knowledgeable on the area and had answers to all our questions. They always have good information to learn on the local history and to help figure out where you may want to go! Last stop of the day was for a few groceries.
Once back at basecamp there was one final task to complete before re-heating leftover pizza on the grill … remove the temporary Airstream window covers. Tim removed them all except for the front drivers side solar shield piece. Decided to leave just this one on for now. The ones removed will help with washing the Airstream tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a big day. If our plans work out four things will happen. Get ready to celebrate!! 🇺🇸
