D43 - 06/10/24 CHICKEN AND MORE CHICKENS

Looks like another night here in Chicken, Alaska. The ladies at the Chicken Creek Saloon are allowing us to stay for another night. Forgot to mention that as of yesterday we are now in the Alaska time zone. That means a four hour difference from Florida/Eastern time.

Tim and I strolled around town today. Which consisted of walking over to Chicken Creek Outpost and RV Park  and then down the road to the Goldpanner/Chicken Creek RV Park. Saw lots of Chickens along the way! And a bit of pavement. lol

Then had another visit to the Dawson Creek Saloon this evening. Saw a moose out front! I can’t even tell you how much fun we had! Met a lot of people from all over the world. Enjoyed many conversations and exchange of travel stories. I could spend days here in this tiny special place photographing moments in time.

Passed forward my message of it’s not about where you are from but where you are at (in that moment in time). And about not relying on reliving a place that you have been to over and over again to relive an amazing moment in time in the past because that moment won’t happen. That moment won’t ever happen again … ever. Create new memories in new and unexplored amazing places. Keep moving on! Life is way too short. Tim and I know that the clock is ticking and we will not ever see and experience everything that we want to see in our lives. Dream it. Plan it. Live it.

I know it’s a long shot but we could see the aurora tonight. While we wait we are planning our next few location moves. Otherwise tomorrow will be a travel day unless they make us stay to work Chickenstock!

*Adding a few selfies from yesterday’s Alaska sign.

Last night at the museum we had rain off and on throughout the night and very strong winds. Other than that it was a very quiet night. Oh an...
