This morning at the Sierra Blanca Brewery we were awoken by a very loud and horrible noise. An alarm! An alarm clock?! We had set an alarm to wake up at 6am! Ugh. Haven’t heard one of those in months!!
The alarm got us up and moving early. Wheels were rolling just after 7am! Nice. The scenery was pretty but all the same. Plains. Massive windmills. Cattle. And many semis. We needed to get moving early so that we would have enough time to tour the museum that we would stay at tonight. However we forgot about the time zone change an hour forward. So much for getting up early!
Our adventure today took us east on Highway 40 from New Mexico through the Texas panhandle and into Oklahoma. We have landed in Weatherford, Oklahoma at the Stafford Air and Space Museum.
Amazing! What a wonderful experience we had at this museum. I was almost cautious about coming here until I read a review saying this museum was Smithsonian worthy. What an incredible collection of air and space history. We did not have enough time. Had anticipated 2.5 hours here but instead only had 1.5 hours with the time change.
Tomorrow brings yet again another long travel day. We will be meeting up with a number of good friends at an event. Can’t wait. Details to come! 🦩
