THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON - 10/17/14 . . .

Maybe Mars? We really weren't sure where we were today. Because the scenery and landscape we saw today was out of this world!

Tim and I got a late start on our hike. I guess since we didn't have to drive anywhere we weren't in any big hurry. So we left walking from the Sunset Campground here in Bryce NP and headed toward Sunset Point.

At the Point we started DOWN the Navajo/Wall Street Loop. OMG and maybe a few other things is what you say when you loose track after counting 'TWENTY' switch backs below you. Straight down in the cliff. The main reason for concern ... What goes down has to come back up!

Our destination hike was the Peekaboo Trail below the rim. The elevation change on our hike today was 1,581 feet, we hiked close to six miles and were gone for almost five hours. This hike is rated as strenuous. Uuugh!!!

It was another crazy, fantastic day of hiking. As of this post I am still gasping for oxygen. We made it back to base camp and can say that we hiked The Hoodoos!!!
