D150 - 09/25/24 AHHH … RELAXATION DAY

Today’s episode of our Epic Adventure keeps us in the campground. We never left but had a great day! It’s nice not to have any agenda for a day. The chipmunks hung out with us until Jett discovered them. Then Jett laid stealth like waiting their return.

Maintenance and clean-up on aisle one today. Tim replaced the shower head in the Airstream. I spent more time doing laundry today. This time towels and linens. Tim also drilled holes into the homemade ammo box fire-pit today. Yes! It definitely helped. Discovered the exhaust vent hood over the stove was detaching from the upper cabinet. Tim fixed that as well.

On Jett’s evening walk I was able to get a little fly fishing in. With it so shallow here in the river at basecamp we hiked out to where we knew there are deeper holes in the river today. Still no hits. You know it doesn’t matter if we catch anything or not. It’s just an amazing feeling to be out on a river in Colorado fly fishing in the wilderness surrounded by nature. So very nice to enjoy the solitude and focus of fishing. Definitely a natural stress reliever.

Over the next two weeks or so we will have a very busy schedule before we arrive home. After we depart Colorado we have two big events to go to. Today we received a call for a special invitation at one of these events. We are really excited about the call and will give details over the next week. Now we really need that bubble bath on the Airstream!

Stay safe out there all of those affected by Hurricane Helene. 🌀 Prior to our departure in April we prepared our home for a tropical storm/hurricane. Thank you all for reaching out and checking to see if we needed help with anything at our home.
