D129 - 09/04/24 WE HAVE FOUND OUR PEOPLE

It was a gorgeous morning waking up on the ranch. Both of Jett’s new friends, Gracie and Indiana, came to say goodbye. We will definitely return here not only for the beautiful location but also for the tasty goods from the farm that we purchased including canning goods and a loaf of fresh sourdough bread.

So we have taken a slight detour from our Epic Adventure. Thanks to social media yesterday, we found out that there is a vintage trailer rally happening nearby. It obviously did not take much for us to be persuaded to go.

We have found our people! Current situation is we have crashed a rally and have landed at the Mt. Baker Trailer Rally here in Leyden, Washington. This is one of the largest vintage trailer rallies in the northwest and this years theme is Mid Century Modern Palm Springs. Love that a few of our friends are here that we know. Also met a bunch of ladies who like me are also members of Sisters on The Fly. Crazy how this happened.

Even though it’s a multiple day event. It started on Tuesday and will run until everyone departs Sunday morning. We will only attend this one night tonight. And we will miss the most exciting things on the schedule like someone’s anniversary party, movie night with ‘Beach Blanket Bingo’, Yoga, Mimosa Morning, Evening Trailer Glow where everyone lights and decorates their trailer for the theme and dresses in their best Mid Century Modern attire. We will also miss the open house, swap meet, vintage vehicle cruise and Trailer Trash Bowling with music and street dancing. This group knows how to have a good time!

Obviously we have stayed up too late … walking around to look at all the rigs. Catching up with friends. Meeting new friends. Good times for sure! Our friends are trying to get us to stay for the entire rally but we have to move on. So hard to make these decisions!
