Here we are! One of my most favorite places!!! I know I say that all the time. But really this is it!
The drive back out Hwy 12 through Red Canyon to south on 89 to Hwy 9 into Zion is just spectacular. At times it makes you wonder and ask ‘What planet am I on?’ We require an escort through one of the tunnels to get here. Due to height and length we are required to drive the center line to be able to make our way safely through that tunnel.
Tim and I were out here a few years ago and are still at awe of the abundance of natural scenery. When we visited previously we did what’s known as the Mighty Five. That’s five of Utah’s most amazing national parks. That leg of the trip was fast trying to get all five parks in in a short period of time. We got lucky and landed the same excact campsite.
This time we decided to just take in one National Park of the five that we loved the most. So here we are back at Zion National Park. I did a short video of the drive in for you ...

Now that we are here at Zion we just have to worry about mountain lions and vicious squirrels. At least that’s what the ranger told us! LOL It might take a few days for us to get together what we want to accomplish here. We need to get a list going, factor in weather and the the current crowds.
We have settled right back into our same site that we stayed in before. The Visitor’s Center is just behind us across a parking lot. The foot bridge into town is right there as well along with the Zion Canyon Brewpub.
