D12 - 05/10/24 WHAT?! WAIT. SNOW!

By mid morning Tim and I departed Absarokee, MT continuing west through Livingston to Belgrade, MT. We are here staying with my sister JoAnn and her husband Spencer through the weekend. I conquered the Bozeman Pass, along the way, towing the Airstream. Piece of cake! SNOW in the pass!!

Our first priority once we arrived in Belgrade was to get Jett to  her veterinary appointment back in Bozeman. Not that anything is wrong. She’s had the appointment for a month. We are required by the USDA to get her a ‘health certificate’ in order for us to get her ‘imported’ into Alaska (USA). Canada only requires her rabies certification. The vet was amazing! Jett loved him and the girls. Now we find that the CDC announced yesterday they will be requiring another form (full instructions not available until mid-July) that takes effect August 1st. It’s all good. I’ll continue to jump through the hoops.

The evening was lovely!Spencer cooked some amazing smoked ribs for us. Along with it my sister who made the world’s best Mac and cheese accompanied by corn on the cob. While eating Jett did some house work for us! Then we waited for the Aurora lights. There was a chance of seeing them. Honestly we didn’t think we would see them this soon. Figured it would possibly not happen until we began our return. It was so worth the wait staying up late!
