Today we changed locations. Tim and I were able to take our time this morning as check-out was noon in Ocracoke and check-in was 1pm in Frisco.
Our journey today had us take another ferry. This time the ferry was much smaller and they did not fill it to capacity giving us more room. Jett was even able to get a nap in. We have landed at Frisco Campground literally located in the sand dunes. Which is still a part of the Hatteras National Seashore.
The day turned out to be long. By the time we picked up camp, took the ferry, found a campsite, set-up camp and went grocery shopping the day was done. It's nice to make the move and there will be more to see here like more beaches on Cape Hatteras, museums and lighthouses.
As far as the campground goes we like Ocracoke better. Here we are a good distance from the beach even though the campground is bordering the beach. When built most of the sites were not set properly having either big dips in the drive or the picnic table and grill on the wrong side of your rig.
I think Jett is going to have a hard time here. She says the beach is too far away. There is not much grass for her walk on to do dog business. At Ocracoke we had plenty and with sticker spurs. Here forget about stickers they have little cactus! Yikes!!!
Tomorrow maybe a down day for us. Weather may move in but we always have Plan B!!!
