Today we took a little drive over to Worland, the next town 25 miles to the west. While there we explored the area and purchased a few groceries. It’s the only grocery store around for miles and miles. On our way back we realized how desolate the drive was. Not one single house. Not one. Only a few gravel paths and a bunch of oil nodding donkey pumps that were not working.
Once back we stopped on the edge of town at the Ten Sleep Brewing Company for some craft brew. Jett was along for the ride and enjoyed her stop here as well. It was a fun place and Jett got a lot of attention from the other patrons.
Later in the afternoon, after we returned to basecamp, we walked into town to have an early dinner at Sacketts Fork Pizza. It was so good! Then of course our stay here in Ten Sleep would not be complete without a stop at Dirty Sally’s General Store for a famous waffle ice cream cone! I’ll probably walk back into town tomorrow because I want to buy a hat I saw at the Sleepy Coyote Cafe and Bar.
Tomorrow will be our last full day here in Ten Sleep. Not sure what the day will bring but we have really enjoyed this town and getting to know some of the locals and others staying here at the RV park.
