MUSEUMS, BREWERIES AND EARTHQUAKES

Sometimes you just need a ‘clean and re-organize’ day. When traveling on these longer trips I try to keep up with the organization and cleaning of everything. Then one morning you wake up to ‘What the heck happened in here?!’ This Airstream was a hot mess today! So we set out with a plan. Tim would organize and re-pack the truck. Then while he was doing that I was to clean and reorganize the inside of the Airstream.

Afterwards we took off for a visit to the Museum of the Rockies. This is a very interesting and educational destination. The Museum is best known for its vast collection of dinosaur fossils and the cutting-edge paleontological research that is produced here. The dinosaurs were so cool!!!

Currently they also have an exhibit on 13th-century Mongolia,  and the story of Genghis Khan-his life, his land, his people, his culture, and his enduring legacy. Amazing to see the challenges of that culture and something as simple as a carved stone passport of the time.

On our return to the truck in the parking lot Tim and I took a quick walk through the Living Museum located just outside. It was so beautiful!  Peaceful and will take you back to the basics of Montana’s homesteading era.

As soon as we were done at the museums we meet up with my sister JoAnn and her husband in Bozeman at Bridger Brewing. I have visited here before when I flew out for a visit. Great brew and specialty pizza! The perfect atmosphere for a college town.

Once back at my sisters homestead and settled, or so we thought, a little Earthquake of 4.2 took place. My brother-in-law was tapping his foot at the same exact time. Nope! Not your foot doing that!! This was the largest and fourth earthquake in the last 24 hours.

While everyone then decided to watch a movie for the evening I took Jett out for a much needed walk that really turned into a run on the way back. With a storm moving in on the back half of our outing, it caught up with us. Jett was more concerned with the rain than me! We had a good run on the return and grabbed a few nice pictures along the way.
