I am going to follow-up in a few minutes with some additional photos from yesterday. But as for today it was a Day Off for us. Time to slow the roll. Rest. Catch-up. This really means WORK! Sweep the floors, clean up the big chunks in the Airstream and wash some clothes.
Once we finished with our chores we drove into town for a stroll through Durango and to make a stop at the grocery. Just so happens the Durango Autumn Arts Festival was still in the works. So we cruised through the streets being sure to stop at the Steam Works Brewery and then we had dinner at the Irish Embassy Pub. While having dinner Tim contacted a friend who use to work with him at KFD and who is currently living and working at the fire department here in Durango. So off to the local fire department we went for a quick visit.
I will now finish with a few additional photos from yesterday and our Durango/Silverton Train ride. YES ... these will be from the GoPro that was flung off the train. This will be one of the hardest choices this evening . . . choosing from 600 photos. The first photo is one that the 'Rail Car Dude' took:
